Girls watch Women Run

This morning I rolled out of bed at 10:30, the latest possible time to wake up so I could have enough time to get dressed and head to the Women Run office. I went downstairs, still in my pajamas, and the first thing I saw was my mom, sitting on the couch in her running apparel, folding clothes. I looked into the kitchen and saw the pancake mixture and pan out and my younger brother eating pancakes, which I assumed he didn’t make for himself. My mom had made him breakfast, had folded a load of laundry, cleaned the kitchen, and taken care of the dog all before I woke up and after she ran. 5 days a week, my mom goes running. It could be what she considers an ‘easy’ run, a quick 7 miler, or a more difficult run of 14+ miles. 7 days in a week however, she is running everything else. She runs to the beach, to the grocery store, our family’s social calendar. She runs to teach my siblings and I how to be the best we can be, how to give 100% in everything we can, and how to make a difference.
